DANDENONG SOUTH PRIMARY SCHOOL WINS MAINFREIGHT BEST BOOK GIVING ASSEMBLY COMPETITION 2025

    May 5, 2026 0

Books in Homes is delighted to announce the winner of the 2025 Mainfreight Best Book Giving Assembly Competition as Dandenong South Primary School in Victoria. Dandenong South Primary School is the sixth winner of the competition, which was launched in 2019. (The Competition was not held in 2020 due to the onset of Covid 19.)

Twenty-three Mainfreight-sponsored schools were automatic entrants into the competition, which recognised the best effort for organising live or virtual Book Giving Assemblies over three terms during 2025. Mainfreight representatives, as well as Books in Homes Role Models, awarded points across multiple criteria. The team at Dandenong South Primary School were presented with a perpetual trophy and a smaller trophy in recognition of their excellent achievement.

Dandenong South Primary School Principal Leonie Fitzgerald says:

We are delighted to have been awarded the Best Book Giving Assembly 2025.  The Books in Homes initiative is highly valued by our school and it is wonderful to experience the excitement of the children when they receive the beautiful books that are provided by the program.

Congratulations to Dandenong South Primary School for a consistent and creative effort over 2025, and thank you to Mainfreight for your sponsorships and promoting your Book Giving Assemblies through this annual competition.

The competition has commenced again for 2026.
