PEER-TO-PEER FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE WITH ADELAIDE-BASED YEAR 9 STUDENT

    Apr 22, 2025 0

Isabella Matson, a Year 9 student at Pedare Christian College in Adelaide, has initiated a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign for Books in Homes. Isabella wants all children to enjoy reading as much as she does, and aims to raise $1000 over four weeks to help build a future where all kids have access to books, especially those living in lower socio-economic circumstances. Funds raised will go directly to Books in Homes to aid their literacy programs.

Isabella is an avid reader and particularly enjoys the fantasy and mystery genres. Music is her second passion as she plays the acoustic guitar, bass guitar and saxophone. For her Year 9 Community Project, she has chosen to focus on improving literacy and wellbeing in young people, particularly those living in disadvantaged communities. Isabella is collaborating with Books in Homes to support their many programs that provide books to children in need within Australia.

    Thanks you, Isabella.

UPDATE 29/05/25: We’re happy to announce that Isabella surpassed her own expectations and raised $1500. Congratulations, Isabella, on such a stellar effort. The Preview Pack is in her hands now and local students are placing their orders. What a fine example of peer-to-peer fundraising. Thank you.
