The Rotary District 9685 Conference, which was held in Penrith on 21 to 22 March 2025, featured the Rotary Turramurra sponsorship story of Books in Homes and Moree East Public School. This year’s conference celebrated the theme: Our Better World through People and Rotary – A sustainability and humanitarian summit. Pam Pritchard AM, who was the District Governor from 2006-07, and who is the Foundation Director, Program Chair, Bobbo Volunteer Coordinator, and Moree Project Manager for her club, celebrated the success of the Books in Homes primary program at Moree East Public School by sharing her story and screening a video made by the key teaching team about the positive impacts of the program on their school. The Rotary Turramurra team hold an annual Trivia Night fund-raising event to sponsor the school, and make regular trips to attend Book Giving Assemblies to hand out book bags to the students.
